February 28, 2012I love Purim. I hope our family will have a great time of celebration!
Then comes Pesach/Passover. Another time of celebration to which I am looking forward. Woohoo!

The Bible has given us much evidence that the Lord Jesus Christ may come for His people during the feast of Purim, which takes place March 7th, 8th, and 9th of 2012. Just a few days from now.

Esther 8:17 And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.

Well…I have to admit this is a first. Although Purim deals with deliverance, it is not the only feast to do so.
Almost all Messianic Jews recognize that the feasts are all prophetic. Yeshua, the Messiah, came during the Spring feasts, fulfilling each one. He will come again during the Fall feasts. I trust the understanding of the scriptures by Messianic Jews and non-Messianic Jews above just about anyone. They understand the language, the idioms, the culture, etc. In fact, I am amazed at what I have learned even from just reading Jewish teachings!
I disagree as to the age of the earth, but that is OK. I do agree that any counting of years must be done from the Jewish calendar and not the Gregorian. However, there has been a lot of changing of the Jewish calendar and no one really knows for certain what year we are in. I do know that the time of man before Yeshua’s return is 6,000 years and we are coming close upon that.
I look for Him to come at the sound of the Great Shofar/Trump. If you know the feasts, you know about when that is. 🙂
